Gay grew up in Southsea and came to Jerey in 1974. Her career in health and social care started in 1976 and her extensive and diverse career she brings a wealth of experience. Her work has been varied including roles with the elderly, individuals with additional needs, challenging behaviours, and psychiatric teams within the community.

Gay loves swimming and exploring new destinations, with Greece and France holding special places in her heart. Gay's cat Lyn is her favourite reading companion.
